3-Hour “Puget Sound Paddling” Tour...

Our 3 hour "Puget Sound Paddling" tours are for those who want to escape the city for a few hours and try something different. We leave from our kayak docks at the Port of Edmonds (right next to Anthony's), just minutes from Seattle. Here we will introduce you to kayaking, provide you with all of the necessary kayaking equipment and give you an informative kayak/safety lesson.

Once we are comfortable and ready, we will launch onto the protected waters of the Puget Sound (your feet stay dry). While on the water your knowledgeable and friendly naturalist kayak guide will educate you about the surrounding region and wildlife while helping you further improve your kayaking skills. We will paddle along the beautiful coastline where you can view a variety of birds, watch the ferry pass in front of the snowcapped Olympic Mountains, catch the eye of a playful harbor seal or witness an eagle gliding over the Sound.

Examples of some commonly seen flora and fauna: Bald Eagles, Pacific Harbor Seals, Great Blue Herons, Pigeon Guillemots, Cormorants, Sea Stars, Sea Anemones, Jellyfish, Pacific Madrones, Douglas-firs and Cedars.

Recommended items to bring: Layered clothing (T-shirt, sweatshirt, windbreaker or an outer shell), long pants or shorts, sunglasses, sun block, hat, lip balm, comfortable foot wear, water, a sack lunch/dinner, a camera (may possibly get wet) and a great attitude.

No experience necessary.

Tour Times:  9a.m., 11a.m., 1p.m., 3p.m. & 5:30p.m.
