Edmonds Day Tour…

Our full day tours are for those who want to escape the city for the day and get out on the water. We leave from our kayak docks at the Port of Edmonds (right next to Anthony's), just minutes from Seattle. At our launch site we will introduce you to kayaking, provide you with all of the necessary kayaking equipment and give you an informative kayak/safety lesson.

Once we are comfortable and ready to launch we will begin our 6-9 mile adventure along the beautiful coastline of Edmonds. While on the water your knowledgeable and friendly naturalist kayak guide will educate you about the surrounding region and wildlife while helping you further improve your kayaking skills.

While paddling along the beautiful coastline you can view a multitude of birds that congregate in this region.  Watch for a playful harbor seal popping it’s head out of the water or witness a bald eagle soaring overhead. One of the most spectacular aspects of kayaking in Edmonds are the incredible views of the Olympic Mountains. Approximately half-way through our paddle we will land on a small pebble beach for a snack break and beach combing. Afterwards we will head back out onto the water and begin our trip back.

Examples of some commonly seen flora and fauna: Bald Eagles, Pacific Harbor Seals, Great Blue Herons, Pigeon Guillemots, Cormorants, Sea Stars, Sea Anemones, Jellyfish, Pacific Madrones, Douglas-firs and Cedars.

Recommended items to bring: Layered clothing (T-shirt, sweatshirt, windbreaker or an outer shell), long pants or shorts, sunglasses, sun block, hat, lip balm, comfortable foot wear, water, a sack lunch/dinner, a camera (may possibly get wet) and a great attitude.

No experience necessary.
