Another Limekiln Lighthouse June 2013

Lime Kiln Lighthouse sits on the west side of San Juan Island. This lighthouse has been watching over the waters for just over a century. It’s now an historic site and a base of operations for scientists studying the whales that frequent the area. Nearby is the Center for Whale research, and a great spot to take a sea kayaking tour with Crystal Seas with the hope of spotting an Orca whale!
